Anyone who visits the legendary QQ forums will already be aware of these, but for those of you who have not found it.....these are the titles we were involved with in 2012
1 - Kompendium - Beneath The Waves.
DVD-A/V with 5.1 & stereo and a series of "making of" films. The list of musicians is like a who's who of prog, and it is a beautifully recorded & mixed record.
2 - King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic
DVD-A/V or a huge box set with 14 CD, DVD-A/V & a BluRay.
Anyone familiar with this 40th anniversary series already knows the score on the regular edition, but if you can find a copy I highly recommend the full box.
3 - Andy Partridge/Peter Blegvad - Gonwards
Stereo only, but glorious sounding at 24/96 DVD-A/V with 5 specially commissioned films as well.
4 - ELP - ELP & Tarkus
Sony join the DVD-A/V community at long last with these 2, featuring all new stereo & 5.1 mixes by Steven Wilson.
5 - Katatonia - Dead End Kings
More 5.1 DVD-A/V from Snapper/KScope, and this time it is the Scandinavian metallers with a seriously cool release
6 - Alan Wilder - A Strange Hour in Budapest
BluRay release in HD with lossless 5.1 sound track, as well as a hidden version. Depeche Mode fans will love this, as will anyone into surround.
7 - Travis & Fripp - Follow
DGM/Panegyric again, this time some glorious soundscapes from Robert & Theo and some interesting performances from within an old church.
Enjoy! |
